The hunt for new footwear is over. Went Orchard last Saturday with Bren and Stan, and bought my Adidas footwear @ $89. And when will Starhub start selling iPhones. My SE G900 is already getting on my nerves; sluggish transitions, performance and all other annoying limitations can be found in the G900. No alarms in the morning if you turn the handset off. WTF was that. Even legacy handsets like Panasonic X70 will automatically switch on to sound off the alarm. My previous K850i was much better.

Met Jialiang and Danny after work today for FCGKFC dinner session. We just had a ridiculously, absurdly, fucking overpriced dinner today at Suntec City, Tonkichi. 4 puny pieces of deep fried pork fillet, some salad which resembled pubic hair which I don’t eat much, plus a bowl of miso soup for $21 excl GST. Special thanks to fucker Danny who suggested settling at Tonkichi for dinner. No hard feelings though, I just don’t feel its worth.

Was surfing around looking for inspirations for work-related stuff when I came across this amusing stool designed for the Homo sapien male. Lolz.

Awesome Canopy system

Awesome Canopy system

My FYP group presentation ended yesterday. The entire session was simply too smooth to be true; the accessors enquired little about our system. Prior to the presentation session, we thought of us being sitting ducks who will have to constantly justify and face the bombardment of questions about the system; a nasty experience as described by previous intakes of students.

For the past few weeks we were rushing to get the system features up. Possible permutations of the Python grammer, integration to the web-based structure (credits to JL who came to meet us despite the fact that he was sick), and preparation of the final documentation. Though the entire FYP episode seemed stressful and often aimless as what Rahim mentioned, the group literally stood together and co-operated well outside Lt 1.03 even till the very last minute before 8.20pm LOL. (Though we met some interesting creatures along the way.)

I don’t know what was it like for you guys, but the worry on documentation never existed as Danny and I were doing our programming. I guess the level of trust and assurance was there, on the other hand, maybe our programming side did turn the whole group into kancheong spiders haha. TY Nat, and special thanks to Rahim (Robert Downey Jr a.k.a Iron Man look-alike) for his Rusell Peters.

Went to Kinokuniya yesterday, and was disappointed when I checked the URL listings in Web Design Index 8. My submission piece did not show up in the new installment of WDI8. Months ago they sent me an email saying that my work got accepted.

Dear Webdesigner or Website owner,

Herewith I'm sending you a pdf of the book page with
your site in the new Web Design Index. To avoid
misspellings or other mistakes, I'd appreciate if you
check the page and correct any mistakes by using
the following form within three business days:

We'll inform you as soon as the book is on the market.

Thanks again for your cooperation.

Kind regards,

Whatever happened to MY submission?

Genre: Fantasy
Developer: NCSoft
Publisher: NCSoft
Status: Development
Official Site: http://games.plync.co.kr/bladeandsoul/

Blade & Soul is currently under development by the Lineage II development team, with character designs by renowned illustrator Hyung Tae Kim (Magna Carta), set in an oriental fantasy world. After watching the trailer from mmosite, I couldn’t help but to download the hi-res version off the official site.

Doesn’t matter if its P2P or F2P, I’m so playing this game!

kinokunya's design portfolio

kinoworks.NET is up! After 5 years I’ve finally bought my own domain name for hosting of my web design stuff + print collaterals. The main objective was to get my works in.

I figured out that at this point of time I have no time for some ‘personal’ website design. Hence I Google searched for some kick-assed Open Source image galleries and came across this rather impressive TiltViewer. All I need to do was to type in the title and descriptions of my images, and to specify the filenames.

Saved me tons of time and effort otherwise taken to piece up kinoworks.NET.

Saw this funny video at the hardwarezone forums. The person who posted this got suanned by a small group of unappreciative members, saying that he’s WOLS … poor guy.

Woke up at 11.30am today and went with my family to the Tampines North CC for my sister’s Bursary award presentation ceremony. My father then drove us to Tampines IKEA where I spent some time deciding between the Black-Brown and the Beech Veneer table tops. I opted for the Beech Veneer and went home with 2 GALANT desks, the other for my sister. She has been complaining about her table space ever since I moved the desktop PC over to her room.

Spent the next few hours planning & shifting the furniture in me & my sister’s room. Hope the ‘A’ legs can support my Canon printer’s weight. I’m still skeptical about the weight these adjustable legs can support.

And here’s a shot I took with my K850i while I was packing for our office premise shifting last Friday. I liked it very much myself and I wanted so much to submit to SXC to test for the usefulness of the stock. Most likely the people there will just dismiss it off as some stock uploaded by some amateur for sharing. =)
